Miller Creek winds its way through a Provincially Significant wetland. This wetland is home to many different plants and animals. Miller Creek Wildlife Area offers a 1-kilometer hiking trail that winds through forests, open fields, and wetlands. Don't forget to pause and enjoy the plants and animals you encounter as you walk.
Also, be sure to stop at the observation tower, where you can see the provincially significant Miller Creek wetland perched above the cattails.
Cross-country skiing at Miller Creek Wildlife Area is a fantastic winter activity. The trails here are natural, which means they aren't specially smoothed or prepared, but that's part of the adventure! When the snow covers the ground, you can put on your skis and glide through the woods and fields. It's a winter wonderland out there.
These trails are great for skiers of all levels. While skiing, you can enjoy the beautiful snowy landscape and even spot some winter wildlife along the way.
Just make sure to bring your own skis, and get ready for an exciting, un-groomed cross-country skiing experience at Miller Creek Wildlife Area!
