Canoeing and Kayaking

At Beavermead Campground, you can paddle along Meade Creek and into Little Lake. From there, you can explore downtown Peterborough from the water, or head up the famous Peterborough liftlocks along the Trent Severn Waterway.

The water at Lakefield Campground is calm and the scenery is stunning. Paddle along the Otonabee River and Katchewanooka Lake or explore the Imagine The Marsh Conservation Area, home of the Lakefield Marsh. This wetland is important for protecting wildlife, educating about conservation, and enjoying nature.

From the boat launch at Warsaw Caves Conservation Area, you can paddle all the way to the village of Warsaw. It's only two hours there and two hours back - a great day trip. Or, you can adventure along the Indian River at your leisure for as little, or as long, as you like.
