Speaking to the Board

Want to speak to the Board of Directors?

Our Board of Directors would like to hear from watershed residents!

A delegation is an opportunity to speak to our Board members at a Board meeting. Members of the public may provide input on watershed matters within the scope of our mandate. Delegates receive written communication of any Board action or decision.

The Board meets via Zoom the third Thursday of each month at 4:00pm unless otherwise posted on our Board and Governance Calendar. Agendas and reports are available one week before each meeting.

Virtual Board meetings are streamed via Youtube. Members of the public are welcome at all in-person meetings.

As a delegation, members of the public may speak to an item on an Agenda or request to add an item to the agenda to speak to.

For an agenda item, please fill out a Delegation Request Form or email the Chief Administrative Officer / Secretary-Treasurer, Janette Loveys Smith jsmith@otonabeeconservation.com. Requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the Monday before the meeting.

To speak about an item and have it added to an agenda, please submit a written submission to the CAO fourteen days before the meeting.

  • A delegate's submission must include all presentation materials and supporting documentation.
  • One representative can speak for ten minutes.
  • Board Members may ask questions for up to fifteen minutes.
  • Returning delegations may only present new, relevant information on the matter.

Please refer to our Governance By-Laws for a comprehensive list of terms and requirements when making a delegation.
