Hope Mill Conservation Area

The Hope Mill was built in 1835 in Keene and remains a operational water-powered sawmill today. Volunteers operate the Hope Mill museum and offer workshops, demonstrations and ongoing events om mid-April to late October.

The mission of the Hope Mill is to preserve and promote knowledge of 19th century water-powered wool and lumber milling technology through the safe demonstration of operating heritage equipment and sharing of historical archives while fostering a cooperative environment for Hope Mill volunteers.
